The Courier-Tribune is our media sponsor. The facility to hold this event is made possible through Cox's Harley-Davidson. The physics students and trebuchet come from Concord High School. Artwork on the pumpkins is provided by art classes at Randleman and Concord High School. This is a production of Greta's Promotions & Strategies, Inc. of Asheboro. This particular event was held in 2004 and 2008 as a media preview for the Crossroads Pumpkin Fest in Statesville. The name of the preview was The Great Heads of Statesville Exit Poll. In 2008, a physics class from Mitchell Community College provided the trebuchet.
